More Happy Little Moments

I'm taking the More Happy Little Moments class over at Studio Calico and love it!  While most people probably buy one of the class kits and do an actual book, I'm doing a handbook like Lisa is.  Here are a few peaks at my book so far...Forgive me but I took these pictures late and with my iPhone so they are not the bet but I was too excited to wait until the weekend when I was home during good lighting opportunites.

I painted my handbook a nice aqua with an acrylic paint.  I incorporated Lisa's idea of using book paper for the label and added "Happy" as the title for my book.

Here's a little peak at the bottom of one of the pages.  I added a cluster of embellishments to the left side and used watercolors to paint a book page for added interest under the arrow (inspiration from Marcy Penner)

My confetti filled pocket I love confetti just like Lisa Truesdell :) with labels, ribbon and a watercolored wood veneer going down the side.  I added rub on's to some of the labels too.

A closer look at the assortment of labels and such going down the side.  This is on top of my cutting mat so don't judge the background :)

This line up of circles is some of my favorite.  I'm loving the repetition here and the watercolors I did on the die cuts are my favorites.  Watercolors are so fun and I'm thinking every project/layout I do now is going to have some little something with watercolor incorporated into it even if it's just a tiny heart or star punch out

Another view to see the dimension that is created too!

One of the printables of Maggie's from the class.  I added a watercolored pink/purple diecut heart for added interest.

A little cluster of embellishments towards the top right of one of my pages.

Little cluster of embellishments to balance out the top right by creating another cluster down in the bottom left.  I used a diecut watercolor blue/green heart.  I also painted a purple/pink wood veneer with watercolors and that worked out well too!

Thanks for following along & stopping by <3

  3. I have been loving watercolors too! I'm taking the same class and just finished cutting out my pages from my book last night. I think I will be adding watercolors to every spread in that book! Love your colors and details.
