Inspired by Wilna

I was inspired by Wilna's page on Two Peas In A Bucket this week.  I'm not usually one to scraplift a page but I was in love with this design.  I used lyrics from the song “Little Wonders” by Rob Thomas.  Whenever I feel a little down on things I swear this song picks me up.  I used these lyrics and this picture of my husband and I to remember how great my life truly is and that I need to remember and love what I do have...I am pretty lucky :)

Here's the full layout, love the gold vellum from Dear Lizzy.

Here's a close up to see the dimension and little details of all the hearts and stars and embellishments.

I used a few cutouts from Elle's Studio and a brad from October Afternoon.

Project Life Week 20

I've been pretty good all year about staying up to date on project life and really do enjoy it.  I'm starting to enjoy doing such little pockets that it's making me forget how to do a 12x12 layout...uhhhh?!?  Has this happenend to anyone else?!  Anyway, here is my spread for Week 20...

Here's the full spread full of blues and aquas.  This was a week where I went to work for three days and started vacation Thursday.

I used watercolors to fill in spots of my stamped image and the background paper.  I used the amazing letter thickers in the project life kit this month for the "week" but there were no numbers so I used a different set of cork for the number 20.  I added two printables (More Happy Little Moments Class PDF's) and used pop dots to create some dimension.

A lovely picture of my parents at dinner.  I used a piece of flair (that I hit with a hammer, yes a hammer, so that it didn't create such a bulge in my page protector and it worked great!)  I also added some wood veneer chevron's and added some watercolor to them and love how they turned out.  I think I'm going to start painting out!

I used a frame from the Pier Collection to frame one picture of the view from our dinner. I used the alphabet stickers from one of the project life Studio Calico kits and added a little fabric paper clip for some fun.

I'd say this may be my favorite. I cut the "a day in the life" (Ali Edwards) with my Silhouette Cameo and used watercolors to make it blend in with the page.  I love my new bowl from Anthropologie and had to document it.  I stitched over the label and added an enamel dot for the "o" in bowl.

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by <3

Project Life Week 19

Another spread of project life to share with you all today.  I'm still doing one page spreads but if I come across a week that has a lot going on I would probably switch to doing a two page spread.

Here's the entire one page spread for Week 19.  I used the Studio Calico Project Life Kit and some pieces from my stash.  I kept with a soft color palatte and absolutely love it with the blues, greens and touches of pink.

The beautiful Hello card on the left is from the March printables at Studio Calico which unfortunately is no longer available.  I used these amazing glitter thickers for the 19.  On the right I printed my photo of Riggly and left some white at the bottom to create the polaroid look and added a cluster of embellies at the bottom.

I used an instax photo on the right along with some wood veneer stars and a circle die cut from Elle's Studio.

I used another Studio Calico project life card on the right and added some letter stickers to the left picture.

I used another project life card from Studio Calico on the left and added the amazing letter stickers in the bottom corner.  I cut around the Happy Days and lifted it up to place it on top of the photo.  Again I added an enamel dot and on the right used a card for my journaling and added a veneer and brad.

Used a label sticker and added the date to my picture.  Used the letter stickers that came in the Studio Calico Project Life kit and of course some more veneer stars.

My little Riggle Monster.  I used a label sticker and added a printable "documented" circle on top of that.  I then added a sequin, brad and an enamel dot all for some more interest.

Thanks for following along and stopping by.  I really do appreciate you checking out my projects and hope I help you all find some inspiration. <3

Project Life Week 18

This is my first year doing project life and in the beginning compared to now is such a difference.  I haven't even shared my photos from the first couple months because I'm not proud of them.  My husband told me I can't change them though and I guess I agree.  It's all about seeing how you develop throughout the process too isn't it!?

Here's week 18...I've been doing a one side spread for each week since we both work the basic grind 8-5 job and come home to eachother and our little Riggly but not too much is going on during the week.

Used a printable from Studio Calico on the left and added some enamel dots and the week number with letter stickers.  I also added the dates from the start and end of the week.

So there it is.  I used bunch of bits and pieces from my never ending stash.  Thanks so much for stopping by and following along <3

So here's the post I gave you a little sneak of the other day.  We had a beautiful day yesterday so I got to take some great pictures finally I even  updated the pictures from yesterday's blog post and they look so much better.  So without further ado, here's the layout...

Here's the full layout.  I used watercolors to create the circles in blue and green.  I thought it would be a fun change to add some pops of color to my neutral background.

I used this lovely Hello wood veneer for my simple title and added layers under my photo.  I used watercolors on a white piece of cardstock and ripped it for some added interest under the photo.  I also used a transparency, a tag and patterned paper to create dimension under the photo of Riggly.

I added some enamel dots along with circle wood veneers to have different elements all with the same shape to help your eye flow throughout the layout.

Just another view of the circles and tags.

I added a row of tags along the bottom of my photo and curled up the edges with my fingers to create dimension.  I stuck with colors in the blue family and added a little grey because hey, it's a neutral so it works.

So I hope you don't mind another layout of Riggly.  My husband laughed at me when I showed him this one and he said "you have to scrapbook something more than Riggly" but he's my baby!  We obviously don't have children yet but still, Riggly is my baby and he's so cute so how can I not scrap him, right?!?!

Well thank you so much for stopping by and following along, it means a lot <3

A layout to share...

Finally I have a layout to share; I couldn't wait for the sun to finally come back today so I tried to take some pictures last night of this layout for you.  I took them with my iPhone so they really are not the greatest but I needed to share something.

Here's a full view of the layout.  I've been holding onto the smash calenders for I couldn't tell you how long and finally used one on a layout, thought that was different and fun.

I added chunky silver glitter to my wood veneer stars to make them pop.

I used one of the little frames from the Pier Collection and added the chunky silver glitter.  Yes, working with glitter is a little intense as it does seem to get everywhere but I did a pretty good job of containing it and love how it turned out.

Another view to see the dimension of the embellies I added to my page.  I've never used bows before either and thought they were different and loved them.  I used a lot of die cut speech bubbles to create a repetition of shapes along the right side of the layout.  I varied my colors in blues but added a few pops of green for added interest.

Hope you enjoyed this layout. For this one I wanted a soft look and something different...I think I acheived it.

Rain rain rain....

So I promised photos of my peak at a layout and I promise they are coming.  It's been rain rain rain here and I really don't have good lighting by the time I'm home from work when it's grey out.  The sun is supposed to be back starting tomorrow so hopefully that's true and I can finally take plenty of photos.  I have a few project life spreads to share and a layout, maybe two!  I'll get these posts up over the next week.

As for the rain, this little, I mean big guy snuck into our yard yesterday...look at that tail!?  It's like a dinosaur!

Thanks for following along <3

A Little Peak...

HapPy Thursdayyy all!  Here's a look at what I was working on last night.  Hopefully I'll get some good lighting after work and be able to take some pictures!

The lighting wasn't that great for my peaks but it's close enough!

Thanks for following along.  Stop back to see the full reveal tomorrow! <3

More Happy Little Moments

I'm taking the More Happy Little Moments class over at Studio Calico and love it!  While most people probably buy one of the class kits and do an actual book, I'm doing a handbook like Lisa is.  Here are a few peaks at my book so far...Forgive me but I took these pictures late and with my iPhone so they are not the bet but I was too excited to wait until the weekend when I was home during good lighting opportunites.

I painted my handbook a nice aqua with an acrylic paint.  I incorporated Lisa's idea of using book paper for the label and added "Happy" as the title for my book.

Here's a little peak at the bottom of one of the pages.  I added a cluster of embellishments to the left side and used watercolors to paint a book page for added interest under the arrow (inspiration from Marcy Penner)

My confetti filled pocket I love confetti just like Lisa Truesdell :) with labels, ribbon and a watercolored wood veneer going down the side.  I added rub on's to some of the labels too.

A closer look at the assortment of labels and such going down the side.  This is on top of my cutting mat so don't judge the background :)

This line up of circles is some of my favorite.  I'm loving the repetition here and the watercolors I did on the die cuts are my favorites.  Watercolors are so fun and I'm thinking every project/layout I do now is going to have some little something with watercolor incorporated into it even if it's just a tiny heart or star punch out

Another view to see the dimension that is created too!

One of the printables of Maggie's from the class.  I added a watercolored pink/purple diecut heart for added interest.

A little cluster of embellishments towards the top right of one of my pages.

Little cluster of embellishments to balance out the top right by creating another cluster down in the bottom left.  I used a diecut watercolor blue/green heart.  I also painted a purple/pink wood veneer with watercolors and that worked out well too!
