I'm back!

Happy Thursday all :) I'm back from vacation and hopefully back from being sick soon.  I've been sick with severe bronchitis and it has not been fun.  Luckily, I pulled enough strength and energy to put a layout together last night.  I used this lovely background paper from Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm.  I pulled a few pieces from my scrap bin for the layering of the photo.

So anyway, I have lots of photos ready to be scrapped from my vacation. Hope you enjoy :)

Here's the full layout.  I had fun playing around with gesso on this one.  I created the clouds on top by spreading gesso around to create a cloud with a paint brush.  I wanted to keep this layout in the aqua/blue's family to really draw the color from the picture.

Here's an up-close look at the clouds and a little wood veneer sailboat that I embossed.  I added little splatters of mister huey's throughout the layout.  I added little wood veneer stars, asterisks and enamel dots for added interest.

An up-close look at more of the clouds along the top of the layout, some more mister huey's splatters, and a wood veneer arrow that starts off the title.

Here's a full blown of the gesso I created on the bottom right of the layout.  I used a mister huey's mask and gesso for the effect.  I then added three colors of mister huey's to mix and get the color I desired.

And finally, an up-close look at the title.  I love how the title pops when you use different letter stickers instead of just one kind.

Does anyone else have a certain color scheme they always tend to fall towards?  I clearly have an obsession with the aqua family of colors.

Thanks for following along <3
