Stencil Challenge

Yesterday I started Wilna Furstenberg's Art Class Workshop from Two Peas.  I absolutely love this class and I've only been through Chapter 1 so far.  Here is my first layout using the stencil challenge.  I cut my own title using "Marker Felt" with my Silhouette Cameo.

I used the 2 from the Studio Calico to add a little embellishing along with some washi.

I used scraps from the Amy Tangerine Sketchbook collection the Hopscotch Collection.

I also used Mister Huey's White Calico and Pretty Pink to add some color.

Has anyone else taken the plunge into Wilna's art class workshop?  I am absolutely loving the inspiration I am getting!  How does everyone else feel about using some type of stencil on a layout?

Have you checked Two Peas lately??  Wilna Furstenberg is one of my favorite scrapbookers and has a new art class workshop at Two Peas.  I just purchased this class today and already love all the peaks I've seen in the PDF download.  If you are looking for new ways to incorporate some crafty art (stitching, wax, fabric, modge podge, just to name a few) into your projects, take this class!  I can't wait to share my newest creations with all of you. 

I promise this week I'll start posting pictures from my new mini album and hopefully at least one layout with a "new" technique I haven't conquered yet!

What's coming....

I'm currently working on a mini album using the Sn@p binder and I'm really excited!  I started last night so sorry I didn't take any photos yet as I only completed two pages.  Don't worry, I'll be up with some soon as I have a whole night of scrapping waiting for me when I get home!  ::Can't wait::  Stay posted!

Nature at it's finest

Okay, okay, I know I say all I care about in Nature is sunshine, the ocean and palm trees but these are some great pictures that I still love.  I mean, who can say they don't love all the seasons in one way or another?  There's perks to each one and this layout is catching more of the fall beauty yes I know it's February but I'm behind. 

Here's a picture of the full layout.  I used the Hopscotch collection because the colors fit perfectly into this theme. 

I used these chip and stick buttons and banners from the Woodland Park collection by October Afternoon.  The colors fit so perfectly.  The little tag is from Evalicious.  I loved the wood grain look to tie in with the nature theme.

I used my Silhouette to cut this font out.  First I cut in black cardstock to shadow the title then layered it with pieces from the Hopscotch Collection.  The banner at the top is using pieces of chipboard from the October Afternoon collection.

Another close up of more stitching detail all along the border.

Used some star wood veneers (my true love hehe) and more layering and stitching.  I also used a date stamp to add the date in the top corner as well.

Am I the only one that is behind on pages I've been meaning to do for months now?

What's catching my eye ::Silhouette Designs::

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Are you ready for Friday already like me?  To get me through, I thought I would look at the Cameo and some of the designs that inspire me.

I have got to say that the Silhouette Cameo is, hands down, something I can not live without.  I pretty much use the Silhouette in every layout or project I do.  I still remember the first time I saw a layout done using a Silhouette and I was like ::what the heck is a Silhouette::  I laugh at myself now because little did I know it was the best thing e.v.e.r.  So I thought today I would give the spotlight over to some of my favorite Silhouette designs at the moment.  Trust me, there's lots so here's just a few.

Happy Everyday

Does anyone else love Pinterest as much as I do??  I'm pretty much always in the Home Decor section but I still get so much of my inspiration from there.  I came across this photo with these gorgeous colors and knew I had to use them in a layout. 

This patterned paper from the Amy Tangerine Collection was perfect to get started!  

Hello normal, happy, everyday...

The title was cut with my Silhouette (designs from the Silhouette online store.)  I added stamps, washi and veneers to make this page full of color and happiness.

Veneer stars from Studio Calico and a badge from Evalicious.

Love these stamps by Ali Edwards.  The small print makes it nice for tiny polaroids like this.

Close up of the orange and salmon washi to give some extra texture to the upper right corner.

Close up of the heart that I stamped to give a little extra something.

This is my favorite big surprise right?  Me loving green and blue, the teal washi against that bright green polka dot.  L.O.V.E. 

Close up of the embellishing going on in the bottom right.  I love those wood veneers from Freckled Fawn and of course the lovely heart veneer from Studio Calico that I misted with Mr. Huey's Piglet and Sherbert!  I also used some number stamps just to show numbers as in days.  Love these from Elle's Studio.

Spain Bound

This is a layout I've been meaning to do for way too long now.  My amaZing cousin Sarah has been living in Spain for the past two years now (with a little break coming home this past summer for my wedding.)  Anyway, this layout is just a few of the pictures we took when she first left at her going away party, or as I call it "Adios Prima Favorita"  Love her dearly and miss her!

Oh and I won't lie, I finished this layout earlier in the week but since it's January and I'm in NY, it's dark by the time I'm home from work and of course there is no natural lighting once the sun is down.  Unfortunate isn't it??  The hubby should really let me stay home and be a scrapbooking stay at home cat mom...I'm working on it!!  Point is, I'm not that happy with the pictures so I'm sure I'll retake them this weekend if I get a chance.

Here's a full view of the layout.  I cropped it so I kind of cut off the pink background that i adhered the white patterned paper background on. 

Love these letter stickers by Amy Tangerine.  The vellum border sticker is a fun touch too next to the vellum background.  

Who doesn't love these little wood veneer stars??  they are pretty much always sold out so just click to by notified when they are back in stock and buy them that day!

Freckled Fawn arrows, loving all the wood veneer.  So funny to think that when I first saw the wood veneers I hated them!  you can see I also used my date stamp to add the date.  I went over it a few times to give it a more "messy" look.

  
The background paper I used was the Love is in the air 12x12 by American Crafts which is part of the Xoxo Collection.
